... the view of the ocean is reportedly OUTSTANDING from here, but...
... today... the fog has view of ocean blocked... is that breakers way down there???
... soooooo... left campsite at 10'ish and now it is 3'ish...
... soooooo... reckon will be back well before dark... but...
... this is a 5 mile hike round trip and we've only done half...
... in 3 hours... that's about 0.8mph average, but...
... there were breaks sometimes as often as every 50 paces or so...
... and one break about 6 switchbacks from the top for 1/2 an hour...
... while we waited for Princess to regain her composure...
... anyway, this was our view as we sat on some convenient rocks and...
... ate protien bars and drank water (being careful to save some for going back)...
... and a forest ranger/fire fighter apears to fix the radio and...
... Princess says "you've come to resque us???"...
... "Nooooo, do you need resquing?"...
... "Well it took us 3 hrs to get here and will take longer to get back...
... just want to be back before it gets dark"...
... "I can get an ambulance here if you want"...
... "No thanks"...
... "You have water?"...
... "About 1/2 a bottle for going back"...
... "Here, take these 4 bottles with you"...
... "THANKS" (they were ice cold)...
... Ranger begins working on radio... we finish our break and head out...

... "Sir? I think I can make a phone call and give you a ride back...
... would you like that?"...
... "YES!!!... THANKS!!!...
... and... he insisted on giving us a ride right to our campsite!!!
... A MILLION THANKS TO THIS RANGER!!!
